Eleanor approaching 50 reviews!

Well, this is pretty special.

Not long ago I mentioned that I had a single goal for Eleanor's big launch day: fifty reader reviews on Amazon. The goal seemed a bit unrealistic, but I was aiming high. The best way to help Eleanor find entirely new audiences might just lie in reviews, not just sales. So fifty was my goal, and I've given away nearly 900 copies of the book to my newsletter subscribers, hoping to get as close to that goal as possible.

Imagine my surprise, then, to find that as of today – still more than two weeks from launch day – Eleanor is just shy of that goal. Forty-four reviews! I'm stunned, and doing little happy dances over here.

But more wonderful than the simple number of reviews is the quality of them. Readers seem to be picking up what I'm putting down with this book, or what I've tried to put down. After all these years of working tirelessly – well, that's a lie, I was very often utterly exhausted by this book – these reviews keep making me tear up.

Thanks to everyone who has read and raved about and reviewed my little book. You've made my unrealistic goal ridiculously realistic. Thank you!

Edit, later the same day:

You did it! You did it!
