Hugh Howey's über-successful Silo Saga -- Wool, Shift and the upcoming Dust -- has spawned an interesting new genre: the silo story. That is, Howey allows authors to publish and profit from fan fiction written in his sandbox. To date, Wool fan fiction has sold over 30,000 copies. I spoke with Hugh and the Woolwrights -- the first wave of Wool fan fiction authors -- about this phenomenon, and about the Silo Saga's recent entry into Amazon's Kindle Worlds program.
Meet the Woolwrights, on Medium.com. It's a very fun read, I think -- be sure to share it!
