Jason Gurley

By day, I'm a user experience designer; by evenings/weekends, I write novels from my home in Scappoose, Ore. My newest is Awake in the World, published February 2019 by Roaring Brook Press; my previous novel, Eleanor, was published by Crown in 2016 and has since been translated into German, Portuguese, and Turkish. I’m currently working on a new project.

Eleanor in Turkish

Eleanor's adventures around the world continue this week! I'm excited to share the news that Turkish rights to Eleanor have gone to publisher Arunas Yayıncılık, who will publish the novel in—you guessed it—Turkish! (I probably gave that away in the title of this post, didn't I.)

To-date, the novel has also sold to publishers in North America (Crown), the United Kingdom (HarperCollins), Brazil (Rocco), and Germany (Heyne). In Brazil, the novel will be translated into Portuguese, and in Germany, of course, into German.

(I don't speak Turkish, or German, or Portuguese, but a few minutes spent on Google Translate suggest that "Eleanor" is the same in all three languages. So I guess I chose my title well. It's pretty universal, so far.)
