Jason Gurley

By day, I'm a user experience designer; by evenings/weekends, I write novels from my home in Scappoose, Ore. My newest is Awake in the World, published February 2019 by Roaring Brook Press; my previous novel, Eleanor, was published by Crown in 2016 and has since been translated into German, Portuguese, and Turkish. I’m currently working on a new project.

Audiobook details...

Short and sweet update this evening: Eleanor now officially has her narrator!

The audiobook edition, coming from Random House Audio on January 12, will be read by the exceptionally talented Cassandra Campbell. I'm very excited about this, because Ms. Campbell's voice is a natural fit for this complex story about mothers and daughters and, well, the nature of time itself, but also because she's narrated novels by some of my favorite authors, including Margaret Atwood (The Heart Goes Last). If you're an audiobook listener, you may also have heard her work on Gillian Flynn's Dark Places, Kathryn Stockett's The Help, David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas, and many other well-known books. She also read Celeste Ng's Everything I Never Told You, which, coincidentally, my wife had just finished listening to when my producer shared her recommended casting.

One more exciting thing to look forward to early next year!
