Jason Gurley

By day, I'm a user experience designer; by evenings/weekends, I write novels from my home in Scappoose, Ore. My newest is Awake in the World, published February 2019 by Roaring Brook Press; my previous novel, Eleanor, was published by Crown in 2016 and has since been translated into German, Portuguese, and Turkish. I’m currently working on a new project.

Eleanor, in German

A bit of exciting news over here on the foreign rights front: Eleanor will now also be published in Germany by Heyne Verlag, part of the Random House Publishing Group. Heyne Verlag has also published many of my favorite authors in translation, including Stephen King, John Grisham, Douglas Adams, Arthur C. Clarke, Douglas Adams, Philip Pullman, Tom Perrotta... the list is quite long, and I'm overjoyed to be joining it.

Heyne Verlag joins Eleanor's other publishers — Crown Publishing here in the U.S., HarperCollins in the U.K., and Rocco in Brazil — in helping this novel find an entirely new audience, for which I'm enormously grateful.

Advance reader edition has arrived!

Rest in peace, Mr. Gurley
